Valentine Gift Ideas for the Whole Family!

Valentine's day is right around the corner (I know, we can hardly believe it either!) and we have rounded up our favorite Valentine's day gift ideas & where to find them! From quirky to practical, there's a little something here for everyone. :)

We love a reeeeal good bottle of wine, but we don't often treat ourselves to the "top shelf" stuff. If you have a wine lover in your life, get them to a wine subscription! We promise they will LOVE it! You can tailor your wine box to your specific tastes & preferences and you can adjust delivery frequency to your liking.

There are several options out there but I've personally tried First Leaf and have been SO impressed! After you try a bottle, you get to rate it in your online profile, which helps your personal wine concierge hone in on your taste preferences. Subscriptions not your thing? You can always order individual bottles or wine bundles from their online store. Below are my 2 absolute favorite bottles I've received from First Leaf - if you're shopping for a red wine lover, trust me on these, they will love them! 

Andar makes quality leather goods/accessories. Pretty much anything from here makes a great gift. I bought my husband the Apollo Wallet for Father's Day last year and we were blown away by the quality! They make really gorgeous cases for all your gadgets too - phones, ipads, airpods, etc. Go check them out, you won't be disappointed! 

Okay okay, we may be a little biased, but IYKYK. Our blankets are the SOFTEST blankets in the world and honestly, who doesn't love a good blanket?? These make incredible gifts. Pro tip: as our past blanket customers will tell you, you might as well buy 2 right away because you're going to want one for yourself - your kids will steal it and/or your spouse won't share it! ;)

These are not as dangerous as they sound, but boy are they fun! We don't go overboard buying things for our kids for Valentine's Day, because let's be real, we're still trying to find places to put all the Christmas presents, but it's fun to do a little something for them. Enter explosion boxes from Send A Cake! These are the perfect fun & unique gift for kiddos. I know cologne doesn't seem like a very unique gift, but have you tried solid cologne? Bawston & Tucker carries beautifully packaged, amazing smelling solid cologne that makes a great gift. Forget the fancy dinner out (no actually don't, still do that, but also do this...), prepared family meals are a real gift for a busy parent! Either a subscription to one of the many online meal subscription services (Hello Fresh, Home Chef, Blue Apron), or find a local chef/caterer that makes ready to bake (or freeze) family meals.

For us here in Sioux Falls, we highly recommend Chef Jeni, who also happens to be our neighbor. Her meals are fantastic - menu selections get posted on Fridays, then place your order by 10:00 pm on Mondays & pick them up at her store between 3:30-6:00 on Wednesdays.  

Yeah yeah, flowers are the most traditional, non-surprising gift for Valentine's Day, but they're also a really easy option for when you want to send something to loved ones that live far away. My absolute favorite source for sending flowers is The Bouqs Co. Their arrangements are GORGEOUS, unique, and extremely high quality! Each arrangement has vase options and the ability to add more stems if you want a fuller bouquet. There delivery is quick & on time, and again, the quality is top notch.

You didn't think we would end this list without mentioning candles, did you?!? Candles continue to make the greatest gifts, in our opinion. Not to mention you don't even have to wrap them when they come in a gift box! But if you do want to wrap it, the box makes that easy too. Pair it with a good-smelling lotion & a great bottle of wine & you will win some serious brownie points! ;)
