Maker Monday :: Dwell 605

I’m a HUGE lover of the wooden sign trend happening. I have several, you basically have to read your way through my home. Do I have too many signs? Probably. Do I care? Not really 😉

If you haven’t picked up on this yet you soon will – Jill & I both are incredibly picky about QUALITY.  I don’t necessarily like spending money, but when I’m shopping for a particular item I will absolutely pay more for quality. It seems like Etsy & vendor fairs are overflowing with sign-makers these days, which is fine, but there are very few (in my opinion) whose items look & feel really really well made. As I mentioned earlier, I have several wood signs in my home, all of them are from 3 different makers whose quality is truly top notch. I will share all of them eventually with you here, but our first sign-maker feature is a fellow South Dakotan & friend, I purchased my very first sign from her. Many of you already know her, and if you don’t you’ll be thrilled to now be introduced to Dwell 605!

Micah 6:8 has been one of my favorite verses since I was a kid, we even have a pillow design of it. Amanda’s sign with this verse perfect & was a gift from my sister, which makes it even more special. It sits right in the middle of our home, between pictures of my boys. If there’s anything my kids learn from me & carry with them when they’re grown I hope it’s these words right here – promote justice, love mercy, walk humbly.

The #5 sign on the top shelf is also a Dwell sign, it represents our family of 5 🙂

This Blessed sign is in our guest bedroom. In our old house I had this sign mixed in with a bunch of family pictures on a gallery wall. I’m still not sure if it makes sense for a guest bedroom but I haven’t found a good spot for a gallery wall in the new house yet & it fit cute on this little shelf, so for now this is its home.

And of course, I needed some SD representation in my home office. I also needed something a little taller on this top shelf to hide some ugly cable hookups – so this sign looks super cute AND it’s solving a problem, win win 🙂

Confession: I have two more Dwell signs that I haven’t found a place for in the new house yet. So I believe that makes 6 total 😬😂 But like I said, I love them & you can trust me when I say the quality is there. Make sure to follow Dwell 605 on instagram if you don’t already & shop her signs in her Etsy shop here.
